Fierce+Females+workhsop

The sixteenth annual Women in Business Conference will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021.  The student planning committee is hard at work identifying alumnae speakers, clarifying what exactly a hybrid conference looks like, and the exciting ways to engage students and alumnae from various industries and career stages. We are thrilled to be offering this year’s conference in a hybrid format to maintain the exciting geographical reach of the 2020 virtual conference as well as welcome those interested in joining us in person on the hill.

What can you look forward to? Read on for exciting announcements about the fall Women in Business conference!

Julie Campbell ‘87, founder of Center Stage Connections,  received a B.A. in psychology from Holy Cross and later an MFA from the University of Washington. Her liberal arts education supported her interest in acting because it taught her how to be curious, one of the most important characteristics of an actor. Julie’s acting career inspired her decision to start her own business as friends and coworkers started to point out to her how confidence, and other important traits of an actor that help them perform, could be very beneficial in a professional setting as well.  Therefore, in 2019 Julie created Center Stage Ceonnections, where she emphasizes to her clients the importance of clarity, confidence, and authenticity in any performance. Whether you are leading a team, giving a presentation, or prepping for an interview, treat it as if you are the actor stepping on stage to give the best performance you can do.  “I really like to engage the audience,” shares Julie,  “and that’s what sets apart what I do because I like to take them on the journey with me.” Julie’s sessions have attracted executives trying to find investors, writers trying to pitch their books, people trying to reinvent themselves, new hires/ high potentials who are new to the professional world and need to improve “executive presence.”  Attendees can expect tips like this and much more from Julie’s energetic and engaging session at this year’s sixteenth annual WIB conference.

More exciting announcements will be made over the next few months so keep up with us on social! We hope to see you there on November 13, 2021!
