The Impact of Fullbridge…

Students, often first and second years, participate in the Fullbridge Professional Edge Program at Holy Cross to immerse themselves in business, finance, marketing, and innovation — the skills employers seek. Starting early on in their college career gives them the opportunity to build a resume that supports their career interests, but also build a network of professionals and successful alumni in that industry.

When COVID-19 disrupted all in-person meetings, the team at Fullbridge and Ciocca Center got to work brainstorming how to best translate the six-day program into a virtual format.  The experiential components of an immersive workweek, complete with 9am – 5pm with an hour lunch break, had to be reimagined at the very same time the world was figuring out how to work remotely. Who/What inspired you to enter the business world?  Both of my parents worked in business, so I definitely gravitated to what I was familiar with coming out of college. Coming into freshman year at Holy Cross I played lacrosse, and only lacrosse. That is who I was my entire life. I am very thankful for the lessons in teamwork and leadership along with the life long friends I made being that these are things I will have forever. I was never in any extracurriculars being that I truly thought all I would do is go to college, play lacrosse, and graduate with a job waiting for me. >> Join the new Holy Cross student run Ignite Incubator! The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program is excited to launch the College’s new student run incubator. The Ignite Incubator enables students from all class years to learn what it takes to bring a business to market through hands on experience. Students can either:

  • have their idea or business incubated in the program
  • work on other students business ideas

The incubator is now accepting applications for both business ideas and for associate positions on the management team.

Entrepreneurship begins with a vision.  This course focuses on the foundations of entrepreneurship and is appropriate for students from any major.  It is designed to introduce students to the entrepreneurial process so that they may begin to shape their own entrepreneurial vision. Course objectives include an introduction to the challenges of entrepreneurship, an understanding of the ethical environment in which entrepreneurs operate, the skills to think critically and work toward the ability to evaluate opportunities in the business. This is a course that includes project-based entrepreneurial activities where students work to test and validate ideas.

Who should take this course?

  • Students who have a business idea
  • Students who want to work on existing business idea
  • Students who want to explore the field of entrepreneurship and innovation

Space is limited. Seats available for second, third and fourth year students.

This new alumni led workshop will provide hands-on experience to help you understand how a global supply chain gets things made and delivered to where customers are. Everything we wear, eat, drive, and consume comes through an organized supply chain from different parts of the world.  Gain political, cultural, and ethical insights from experienced alumni from issues they’ve dealt with that are inherent in managing a global supply chain.

This new workshop will be two days, held over fall break and is open to all majors/class years.

The COES Prebusiness Office is excited to announce this new two-day alumni-led workshop designed to help you acquire hands-on experience in understanding how a global supply chain gets things made and delivered to where customers are. It is a great opportunity to connect with alumni and learn about the cycle of everything we wear, eat, drive, and consume. The alumni below offer different perspectives meaning you will also be exposed to the political, cultural, and ethical issues inherent in managing a global supply chain.

The Global Supply Chain workshop will be two days held over fall break and is open to all majors/class years.

(Center Left) Peter Mondani ’79 is the Senior Human Resources leader-Global Risk Management at General Electric Co. He is responsible for financial leadership development and human resources for over 16,000 finance employees from entry level through senior executives. He is also part of the The Holy Cross Gridiron Club Leadership Council.

(Center Right) Ted Pidcock ’88 is the founder and manager an apparel company, Chillybears. He also developed and sold a multi-location retail concept called Custom Caps as well as developed Teddy the Dog which is distributed in the US and Canada.

(Right) Cynthia White ’95 is the President & Lead Consultant at the Ceatro Group.  The Ceatro Group is one of the leading research and consulting firms.  For more than 17 years she has been helping organizations achieve greater results internally and externally.  She has consulting and research experience in North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
